A Life with Minis – Meet Ronald Broeren
For Ronald, Minis are more than just cars—they are a lifelong passion. Growing up in a family where Minis were always present, his love for the iconic little car was inevitable. As soon as he got his driver’s license, there was no question about what his first car would be: a Mini.
What started as a small repair project on his first Mini quickly escalated into a full-blown restoration. At the same time, his uncle Sjaak, who owned a garage, was building a track-day Mini of his own. The projects caught the attention of local Mini enthusiasts, and soon customers were bringing their own cars in for repairs, tuning, and restorations.
From this demand, Classic Mini Center Brunssum was born—quickly becoming a go-to workshop for Mini lovers in the Netherlands. In 2012, Ronald joined the business full-time, handling everything from sales to service, working with Mini owners to help keep their cars on the road and performing at their best.
Recognising the need for direct access to high-quality parts from the UK, Classic Mini Center Brunssum formed a strong partnership with Mini Sport, working together to ensure European customers could get the parts they needed. In 2020, this partnership led to the first launch of Mini Sport EU, catering specifically to German-speaking customers in Europe.
With Sjaak retiring and Classic Mini Center Brunssum closing its doors in early 2025, Ronald has stepped into a new role—bringing his expertise and passion for Minis directly to the wider European Mini community as Mini Sport’s official EU representative.
